What is JobberWokky?

JobberWokky is a job site for professionals in the Creative Industries, particularly in the Asia Pacific region. Find job opportunities and companies that value creativity, talent, and skill, in fields such as advertising, art, CG animation, design, engineering, film, game development, photography, etc.

How much does it cost to look at job ads?

ONE MILLION DOLLARS. No, seriously, nothing.

Do I have to register to look at job ads?

No.

Why must I register to post ads?

So that we don't get people spamming the site with junk.

We can also provide you with better service, such as tracking the number of views on your ads, show you when your ads expire, etc.

How much does it cost to post an ad?

Free during the beta.

We'll announce pricing before the beta ends. Don't worry, it'll be REALLY affordable because we know what it's like to be a small company and a startup too.

What about non-commercial projects or volunteer jobs?

We want to promote creative projects and teams so ads for unpaid positions are free-of-charge. Just select volunteer for the Employment type.

How long is my ad listed for?

90 days.

When will the beta end?

When we feel the site is good enough in terms of the quality of the content and service. So, send us your feedback and suggestions.

The job category I want isn't listed. Can you add it?

Why JobberWokky?

As Asia Pacific's creative industries mature, the need for special talent - people who can think, work, and play creatively - becomes critical. For employers, finding people with the right skills is getting more difficult in this increasingly competitive field. For job seekers, finding rewarding jobs where you can exercise your creativity, and employers who appreciate that, means wading through irrevelent categories and hundreds of mundane ads.

JobberWokky was created as a result of our own frustrations in searching for talent and jobs in the creative industries in the Asia Pacific region.

General job sites and printed media try to serve too large an audience, making it difficult to find jobs specific to these industries, where talent and skills are key criteria.

By focusing on skills, we'll help you find the the right people and the right jobs quickly.

I'm an employer. What's in it for me?

Easily and clearly indicate which skills are important to you by tagging job ads with skills categories. Make use of skills tags created by other users, automatically provided as suggestions as you type.

I'm looking for jobs. What's in it for me?

Browse ads using skills categories tagged by employers, location, and employment types to find jobs based on your expertise and preferences. Or search using categories or general keywords.

What's this "Skills tagging" thing? And what's the deal with the "tags in ..." stuff on the side?

JobberWokky is focused on skills. These tags allow employers and job seekers to highlight particular skills they are interested in.

In the side bar, tags that are larger indicate there are more job ads tagged with those skills or categories. You can also refine tags within each category to narrow down your search.

I'm a recruiter. Can I use this site to place ads?

Yes, there are 2 ways you can do so.

Firstly, you can put up a regular post if you reveal the name of the actual company the position is for. Ads that do not comply with this requirement will be removed without refund.

Secondly, we are considering how to create an affiliate system where you can keep your clients confidential while we support Jobberwokky with the referral fee. In the meantime, if you have an urgent request, any suggestions or inquiries, please send us a message.

What's the little orange square with the word "subscribe" that appears at the bottom of the ads when I'm browsing?

It's a yummy little feature called RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds that you can subscribe to using an RSS reader like Google Reader so you don't have to visit several different sites to get your job ads.

Depending on the page you are viewing, you can subscribe to job ads in certain categories such as "graphic design". To subscribe to all jobs, simply use the RSS feed link on the main Job ads page.

For employers, this feature allows other job sites that aggregate job ads to "pull" ads from JobberWokky to display on their sites. This means your ads might be displayed on several sites, not just here.

I operate a website that aggregates job ads from different job sites. Can I pull ads from JobberWokky to display on my site?
